Claudio was born in Santiago, Chile, and came to the United States as a Lay Missionary with the Columban Missionaries in 1994.
After six years of missionary work at Immaculate Conception Parish in Grand Prairie, TX, he worked as a Director of Religious Education at Saint Edward Parish in Dallas, TX, for eleven years.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in religious education from Cloverdale College in Indiana and a master’s degree in religious education from Felician University in New Jersey. He is currently working towards a Doctor of Ministry degree with Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, TX.
Claudio has worked for different dioceses in the country, like Dallas, Washington, DC, and Austin, as director of catechesis, director of cultural diversity, director of Hispanic ministry, and director of family life. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Dallas, teaching in the School of Ministry.
Currently, Claudio is the director of the Growing Up Catholic Community Initiative with The Pastoral Center, a non-profit publishing company. Claudio is a well-known presenter at the local and national levels.
